Covid-19 Protocol

Local, State and Federal Government guidelines will apply when applicable. We follow the guidelines of BICP and OSHA. We are operating under San Diego’s Safe Reopening plan and Youth Sports Protocol.

Please review the County of San Diego’s HHSA COVID Fact Sheet before attending one of our events.

The following instructions complement the BICP and OSHA standards for our events and will be used for everyone’s safety.

Healthy Athlete Big 5:  All riders and leaders will…

  • Ride and function at least 6’ apart

  • Be self-sufficient with food and water

  • Wear face coverings when not actively engaged in instruction

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water or hand sanitizer

  • Stay home if they have symptoms

Upon check in to our events Sprockids San Diego will ask the following health screening questions for each participant. Parents and their rider will answer:

  • Do you live with anyone or have you had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days?

  • Do you or anyone in your household have a fever, cough and/or shortness of breath?

  • Do you or your child(ren) have any signs of communicable illness such as cold or flu?

  • Has your child been given any fever-reducing medication in the last 24 hours?]

Leaders will take the temperature of all riders at check in using a forehead scan digital thermometer.

If a rider’s temperature is over 100.4 and/or the rider has had contact with a COVID-19 positive individual in the past 14 days, they will be asked to reschedule. There will be no penalty or rescheduling fee.

Hand sanitizer, bleach wipes and extra disposable masks will be available at all events for riders to use at no cost.
